George M alone had 23 long range shots in the first 10 minutes but the only damage was to the stinging nettles on the side of the pitch and the pigeons flying by!!!!!!!!
Overall a good performance from the seven man team who all played very well I was proud of everyone. I cannot remember a game where we have played where we had so many chances and not scored, indeed this was probably our only 0-0. Special mentions to all, Grant, Flynn, Harry, George M, Cameron, George D and not forgetting Adam who made it in even though it was his parents 50th Anniversary....(I think thats right!) George D even managed a terrific defensive header his 1st I believe!
We would have benefitted from a substitute to change the play around but we can take this result forward in the next week.
Man of the match Flynn for his dogged determination. Unfortunately fate was not on our side.
Deddington defended very well with multiple players in the penalty area and with a good goalkeeper. He should apply to also be an acrobat and a contortionist! A very friendly group of parents on a sunny Closes pitch with boys who are a credit to them - We wish them well against all the other teams except us!
