24-04-16 friendly CUMNOR MINORS U16S 1 v CUMNOR MINORS U18S 4
With FOUR key players missing from the starting line up, the under 16s were going to up against it but with some tough tackling and closing in the boys were holding their own until conceding the first goal on 15minutes, a well struck free kick which had a lot power and accuracy, but the boys kept going and never let their heads drop and nearly equalised when CAM and HARRY played a nice one two but the resulting shot from CAM was saved, just before halftime the U16s went two down when failing to clear the ball the forwards took advantage and pounced... HT 0-2.
The team got slightly tweaked for the second half and the u16s were still in the game creating some descent half chances but they were 3 down after 50 minutes, still five minutes later HARRY hit a shot of which the keeper couldn't hold on to it and the U16S grabbed a goal back (u18s guest player scoring) then HARRY crashed a shot against the bar and the U16s were looking dangerous on the break, ADAM was making some great saves in between the sticks and SCOTT was looking his solid self at the back making some great tackles, and with GEORGE,COOKIE,OLIVER and ELIOT all working hard in the midfield the boys were holding their own, BUT the u18s did manage to get another just before the end.. FT 1-4.
Well done to all the boys who played a good test....with know one giving up which was great to see.
Men of the Match:- ADAM & SCOTT............and basically to everyone else who played!!
